TOTAL RECOVERY

INTRODUCTION

Recovery implies that you have lost something and then you got it back. This is a season which the Lord has set to give you back all that you have lost in the past. You must position yourself for God’s outpouring so that you can recover all.

In 1 Samuel 30, David was faced with a terrible situation in his life when he was at Ziglag when the enemy invaded the place and carried both women and children into captivity. Though he was distressed when he came back with his men that were with him, but the Lord gave him victory at the end. There is victory for you at the end of that your situation. God will not abandon you if you are set to look up to Him and not in another direction.

Let’s see some things in our passage that helped David to recover all.

1. Encourage yourself in the Lord – vs6

    Even when nobody is there to encourage you, please, encourage yourself in

    the Lord. Never allow the devil to rejoice over you through discouragement.

    In the midst of your crisis, learn to encourage yourself.

2. Look up to God for help – vs7 (Ps.121; 146:3-5)

    David, in the midst of his turbulent time did not look to another place for

    help, but to God. Don't put your trust in powerful people that they will help

    you out of that situation. Though God can use them as He wills, but it is not

    our duty to look up to them calculating that they are the source of your help.

    God is the true source of help that can never fail. Look unto Him for help!

3. Ask the Lord for direction always – vs8 (Ps. 32:8)

     The next thing you need to do to recover all is to ask God for direction in that situation. What does God wants you to do. His ways are not your ways. His solution may not be okay to human reasoning, but as you follow His instructions you will enjoy it at the end of the day for you will surely recover all.

4. You need the right information – vs.11-16

     Friend, you need the right information in the midst of your crisis. The right information will save you a lot of stress. What right information will do for you, is to deliver solution to your hand without sweat. Right information will make you victorious in life. The  information that the Egyptian slave gave to David and his men helped them a lot. If not for the information given they would have headed for the wrong direction pursuing their enemy. It is your season of Total Recovery, but the right information will deliver that victory you have been looking for into your hand.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Good day friend. I am glad you are alive today. It is for a purpose that the Lord has kept you and I. God’s word for you today is:

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

                                                                        Heb 13:5 (NIV)

This is a great word of assurance from the Lord. It is a sure word which cannot fail. Human beings can fail or disappoint but God’s Word cannot. You are not alone in that situation. However, for the word to work for you, you must note the following:

1.     1. Keep your live from the love of money. This is the root of all evil- “the love of money...” Run away from it for it is a deadly “disease”.

2.   2.   Be content with what God has given you. Stop trying to get things at all cost at the detriment of your eternity.

May the Lord be with you as you follow Him through His word.

There Is still Hope!

For there is hope for a tree,

If it is cut down, that it will sprout again,

And that its tender shoots will not cease.

Job 14:7 (NKJV)

Good morning to you. I believe God made you to see the light of the day for a purpose. God's word to you and for you this day is that- "there is still hope."

What is your situation? What are you going through or what is going through you? There is hope for you. It does not really matter what the situation is right now, in your school, career, business, home, finances, job, etc. the truth of the matter is that, "it will sprout again" bringing glory to God. 

However, for your hope to rise again, you must take the following steps:

1. Look up unto God for a change - Psalms 121: 1-8

2. Trust in the Lord always - Proverbs 3: 5-8

3. Call upon the  Lord to change your situation - Joel 2:32

As you call on the Lord in prayer, have faith in Him and you will see Him turning the situation around for your good and His glory. It is well with you in Jesus' name.
